This installation highlights traditional gnocchi making through clay and fire to energise the importance of familial connections. The work is informed by serial art – an art form that uses a strict set of rules to determine a composition of objects. I mimic the gnocchi form by repeating the traditional making process over and over again. Through a diverse range of clays and the sense of touch, I reconnect with the earth and my own body. This process enables a space for reflection and evocations of intimate connections with the planet and my community.
