Evan Anderson

In A Kind of Magic, I draw upon personal experiences to explore art as a form of consolation. Through the photographic and screen-printing process, I visualise the shattered illusion of comfort that art can create. I have found that art can be a form of comfort in times of distress and melancholy. When the possibility of losing my artworks came to mind, I was overcome with a sense of vulnerability. However, I have discovered that being with others, forming connections and sharing experiences through art has brought me a great sense of joy and comfort…and that’s a kind of magic!
