Smoking Gun constructs the incriminating evidence of perpetrators carrying out acts of domestic abuse. The project aims to reveal layers of verbal and physical misconduct inside relationships, challenging the audience’s understanding of domestic abuse, as it rummages to more profound areas: financial abuse, physical abuse, psychological abuse and sexual abuse.

Matthew Favaloro and myself bring our enthusiasm in multi-screen installations into Smoking Gun, but this time we have layered cinematic elements to produce further disarray from what is already deduced from the screenplay, producing a truly inculcate hostility and discomfort. Our installation invites the audience to navigate the familiar crime scenes, extending the depicted narratives into tangible experience.
