Everlasting, explores my longing and desire to maintain and hold onto a connection with my late Grandmother. This work focuses on a teapot and its role for bringing individuals together, which I associate with my memories of my Grandmother. Through indexical qualities of the soft sculpture trace off method, I transformed a teapot into an entity. I then manipulated the pattern of the teapot to create a collection of teapot entities that lean and prop one another. I used repetition to evoke the ongoing nature of loss and desire.
