My portrait series reflects on the impossibility for us to be anonymous in a world that’s surrounded by social media and metadata. I have photographed my subjects in the studio against a white background and with deadpan expressions to reveal a stark reality. The format is similar to passport photographs where the sitter is front on. I then made collages of the portraits by cutting individual features and mixing them up across the portraits to block recognition and make them anonymous. Individual features are recognisable, but a whole person is not.
